In 2020, after working in the coffee industry for over 10+ years I decided to launch Balance on a mission to bring healthier range of coffee products to the UK.
Every batch of Balance Coffee is sourced from the top 5% of coffee farms worldwide.
Paying 25% more for the coffee we source, we regularly test for things you’d rather not drink, like Mould, Mycotoxins and Pesticides.
The result? A naturally clean healthy cup…with all of the flavour, and none of the nasties!
Finally a coffee you can feel great about drinking.

Ive swapped my normal coffee for Balanced Coffee and I’m really enjoying it. The taste is lovely and clean, and I especially love these blends. The biggest difference for me is that I can enjoy my coffee without getting the usual jitters afterwards or the icky belly. . It still feels like a proper, enjoyable cup of coffee, just without that wired feeling. Definitely becoming my new go-to!
Happy I switched to cleaner pods from compostable. I can taste and feel the difference (no jitteryness after effects) so the steeper price is totally worth it.

Love the taste of these pods, they look and feel fantastic and less jitters. The medium roast Stability Blend has beautiful crema on it, much smoother and creamier than the mainstream pods taste, and they work perfectly with our KitchenAid Nespresso machine compared to other brands that struggle to extract properly. I'll definitely be buying again and look forward to trying other blends.
I've been drinking Balance Coffee for a year now. Every time I make a Coffee, I'm delighted I found them. After a bit of 'back and forth' at the beginning, trying to refine the grind, I ended up with Rotate Espresso Cafetiere. I love the smooth texture and the great taste. But, the but I love the most is the ethics behind the coffee. I won't be ordering elsewhere anytime soon!
These coffee pods are so simple to use. Love the fact they are silver and as fresh / clean looking as the taste! I find the balance coffee taste is super smooth and chocolatey. Such a nice way to start the day. I love how it gets to work waking me up and energising me without giving me those nervy jingle jangles. Some other coffees make me regret having a cup as it seems to add to my stress! I recommend these if you want a healthier caffeine hit that is really tasty.
I honestly wasn’t expecting these to be this good! The flavour is absolutely delicious, smooth, rich and perfectly balanced, without any bitterness. You’d never guess they’re a “clean” coffee because they taste every bit as indulgent as premium coffee shop pods. The packaging is beautiful too, really high quality and feels like a luxury product from the moment you open the box. Everything about it has been thoughtfully designed. If you’re looking for a cleaner coffee without compromising on taste, I genuinely couldn’t recommend these enough. They’ve become my new favourite pods, and I’ll definitely be ordering again!
These pods are perfect, just sweet enough and so fresh to taste. You can really tell the difference between these and all the other pods out there. The perfect crema that last on top and a beautiful tasting coffee underneath, most definitely will be buying again.

The Dark Fire Blend has a wonderfully aromatic flavour that’s incredibly moreish, yet it retains a clean, smooth taste with no bitterness. Very strong effects with no jitters

I have a bag out here at work and at home. It's a good flavour. I am not a morning person at all! Not grumpy just fog and the inability to structure a thought until at least 0800 (alarms at 0500) but recently having good quality coffee helps with that early starts.

Recently purchased the best seller bundle, I tried the dark fire energy blend first and this hit the spot straight away. I was keen to try the other two blends and i wasnt disappointed. My preferred method of brewing at the moment is my V60 dripper and I like the coffee that much I have started drinking it black. I tend to have 2 cups a day - one mid morning and one early afternoon, it gives me a lift and the focus I need. The chemical free promise was a big selling point for me but the fact it also tastes good means I'll be back for more.
Tried a few different coffee roasters and so far this is the tastiest, no bitterness no matter how long you let it brew for, on top of that my kitchen smells delicious 😄
The Stability Bean and Rotate Bean were both excellent. I found the Dark Fire especially great to start the day — smooth, rich and full of flavour without being too harsh.

Good service ! I like what they do. Testing, organic, sourcing the best coffee. Coffee smells very fresh when you open it. Tastes lovely very smooth . I like the fact that it’s 100% Arabica coffee so it contains less caffeine than some commercial blended coffee like I have been using before. I ordered the Dark fire energy. Bought a 500g bag of Stability Blend coffee beans and I can honestly say this is the best coffee I have ever tasted I just love it .
We have been using Balance Stability blend for well over a year now and we love it. So much so I cannot have the big multi-chain coffees without gettin a headache. Beautiful and smooth and we will not be changing.We Love it.
The Stability blend is just superb, so smooth and tasty. I also love the decaf, Rotate espresso and Darkfire blends. Highly recommend and can’t wait to try others.

I love this coffee, I look forward to a big mug in the morning to set me up for the day. I’ve used capsule machines for years but about a year ago I bought an expresso machine and started ordering from Balance coffee and now it’s my non negotiable. My favourite is the dark side energy roast but stability blend is also very good. I tend to alternate between them. Enjoy!
One of the best decaf coffee I have ever tried, high quality, super tasty, different layers of flavour normally decaf won't have this much, definitely will keep buying it.
I bought the BestSeller Bundle, and all three flavours have their own unique characteristics. I personally prefer the Stability Blend. I care a lot about health, which is why I discovered Balance Coffee. It is toxin, mould and pesticide free, and packed with antioxidants and polyphenols. That makes it a very important choice for me. Very smooth taste and flavour. I prefer a slightly stronger taste though so will be ordering the dark roast next time. I feel better knowing that I am drinking a clean coffee which hasn't been sitting in a plastic pod!

Coffee
Balance coffee is absolutely fair trade (as every product should be).
While some of the coffee that we use may not always be “certified” organic, many of the coffee farms we buy from are in fact organic but cannot afford to pay for the certification.
In fact, we pay a higher price than most to help support farmers’ livelihoods whilst incentivising them to re-invest in order to create a more sustainable supply of coffee for the future.
For 1KG bag sizes it has approx 60 cups of coffee inside.
For 500g sizes it has approx 30 cups of coffee inside.
For 250g bag sizes it has approx 15 cups of coffee inside.
Our coffees all score above 80 points, which means the coffee you sip is not only 100% ethically sourced and sustainable, but also extremely rare – not everyone can get their hands on it.
At Balance, we’re fresher than fresh.
All Balance Coffees bags are sealed with a heat seal immediately after we bag the coffee just 24-48h after roasting.
Due to our quality packaging and fast delivery, your coffee will arrive as fresh as the day it was roasted.
Yes – they are regularly tested at origin during the processing process.
The farmers take pride in the picking and sorting process to ensure no bad beans are selected.
Yes! Balance Coffee Decaf is called Halcyon, and it’s super tasty.
As a progressive roaster focusing on quality we use the phrase ‘speciality coffee’ to mean coffees that have scored 80+ according to the SCA and CQI coffee grading standard.
A lot of hard work goes into the production of speciality grade coffee.
All of the producers we work with will have earned a significant premium for the high quality coffee that they produce.
We look to purchase coffees that score of 82+ and in most cases 85+.
From a taste point of view, there is a significant difference between a coffee that scores 80 and one that scores 85.
Generally speaking, coffees that score higher have more complexity.
We source coffees from so many countries across the globe however, predominantly these coffees are sourced from the common coffee growing regions, otherwise known as the coffee belt.
Examples include Africa, Asia, South and Central America.
We have a great relationship with our farmers and co-ops, and are confident they meet all of our selection criteria for the highest quality green coffee beans.
At Balance Coffee we predominantly roast a medium profile for the majority of coffees apart from our single origins which are generally a touch lighter.
