James is a food and drink entrepeneur having founded Balance Coffee back in 2020 and Eating In London in 2021.
James is comitted to helping improve the hospitality sector and has over a decade working in the heart of the speciality coffee industry.
Who Is James Bellis?
James Bellis is an entrepreneur, professional barista, coffee trainer, and part-time biohacker. He founded Balance Coffee and Eating in London with a dedicated team of 12. Previously, he was the Sales Director at Sanremo UK.
Beginning his journey in the world of coffee as a Barista Trainer for UCC Coffee, James trained thousands of baristas across the UK on how to produce coffee to an excellent standard, helping to raise the bar across the industry.
Acquiring certifications from the Academy of Food and Wine Service obtaining a License to Work in Coffee.
Following this, James moved to Sanremo UK, an Italian espresso machine manfufacturer.
His role involved working closely with over 60 of the best coffee roasters UK wide.
Touring the UK and taste testing coffees from every coffee origin across the world, his coffee and machine knowledge grew at a rapid pace.
Visting Italy frequently, to work alongisde some of the best coffee minds in the world including; Technicians, coffee roasters and baristas working within the Sanremo World Academy Team.
This helped James gain more exposure and developed his skills within the industry, attending annual events like the London Coffee Festival.
James was accredited with an SCA Coffee Skills Diploma issued by Tim Sturk, a licensed AST Trainer.
James launched Balance Coffee in 2020 and has achieved great success already.
